Vancouver Police are investigating a shooting that occurred in East Vancouver late Tuesday night.
According to the VPD, officers were called to a home in the area of East 5th Avenue and Cassiar Street just before 9 pm. When officers arrived to the scene, they found a 42-year-old woman suffering from gunshot wounds.
The woman was rushed to hospital and remains in serious but stable condition.
Police believe the incident was a targeted shooting and do not believe the public is at risk. At this time, no arrests have been made.
The investigation is ongoing are few details have been made available.
