Vancouver Police say they are investigating a shooting in broad daylight in East Vancouver Saturday afternoon.
Just after 2:30 p.m., officers were deployed to the area of Wall Street and North Penticton Street – next to Burrard View Park – to respond to reports of a man who had been shot.
Upon arriving to the scene, they found a man with a non-life threatening gunshot wound. He was taking to hospital for treatment.
The investigation is still in its early stages, but police are able to say that the shooting appears to be targeted.
Few details are available at this time.
One week ago, a man was also stabbed in the area, just a few blocks away, on Eton Street near Nanaimo Street.
