Metro News is reporting that there may be someone deliberately poisoning neighbourhood dogs.
Dog owners in the Renfrew-Collingwood neighourhood in East Vancouver are being warned about an individual has been injecting tennis balls with antifreeze. Once the tennis balls have been injected with anti-freeze they are left in Falaise Park, a local dog park near Grandview Hwy. At least two dogs have been reported getting sick.
According to the B.C. SPCA, a single tablespoon of antifreeze is enough to kill a 10-pound dog.
Anyone with information should call the SPCA’s animal cruelty reporting hotline at 1-855-622-7722.
