Vancouver sure seems to like its frozen desserts, first Bella Gelateria opens its second location in the city, now Scout Magazine has revealed that Earnest Ice Cream will be opening their second location at the old Organic Lives location on 1829 Quebec Street.
Their original location on Fraser Street, in an area commonly referred to as Pinoy Town (or as we like to call it Little Manila), has limited hours and days that it is open. When it is open, there is always a lineup. With the new location opening up, the hours and days of operation at both location will be expanded.
While the old location many would have to drive to, the new location, at the edge of Mount Pleasant, is more pedestrian, bike and transit friendly. It’s also home to a substantial amount of offices and residental units (across the street in Olympic Village), which means plenty of customers in the immediate vicinity.
The new design will be similar to the current location on Fraser Street, explains Scout Magazine’s Michelle Sproule.
Look for an early 2015 opening.
