EA Sports gives FIFA 13 a new starting line up

For the last 7 years Manchester United superstar, Wayne Rooney, has been on the cover of every FIFA game. The sports super publisher and football phenom mutually agreed that it was time for a fresh look. But who will be on the cover if not him? EA Sports has made an announcement.

Back in May, EA Sports said that Lionel Messi would be on the illustrious cover art of FIFA13. At the time it was a very real possibility that he would share the cover  with Rooney. Shortly after the announcement that Rooney was out, two soccer stars were introduced for the job.

25 year old Joe Hart, the speedy Machester City goal keeper will join Lionel Messi on the cover of FIFA 13, along with 19 year Arsenal winger Alex “The Ox” Oxlade-Chamberlain.

Yesterday’s UK press conference confirmed the FIFA13’s September 25th US release date, which launches 3 days before its UK release (Sept 28th). However, if you want to see the game in advance you can visit the EA website here: http://www.ea.com/soccer/fifa/ps3. Also, you’ll be able to download the free demo on September 11th for the XBox Live Arcade and Playstation Store.

The game shows great depth by featuring 500 playable international teams, including the Vancouver White Caps, available in a new “Arbutus Brown” 3rd kit! You can have a look at it through this video:  http://ultimatefifa.com/2012/new-fifa-13-video-reveals-vancouver-whitecaps-3rd-kit/

And of course, FIFA would be incomplete without numerous gameplay scenarios and improved offline / online game modes (including a new skills mode which has various mini-games), which are supported with a web interface that allows you to micro-manage your team.

FIFA13 is currently available for pre-order and can be played on the XBOX 360, Playstation 3, PC, and Wii U – which, as a launch title for this new Nintendo product, includes an interesting interface which you may want to investigate.
