Another robbery: $15,000 worth of merchandise stolen from Vancouver drone store (VIDEO)

For the second time in two days, a drone store in Vancouver has been hit by another theft.

Security footage provided to Vancity Buzz shows a shocking scene at Drones Plus’ Kitsilano location. Appearing from the back room, two figures dressedhead-to-toe in dark clothing, with masks over their faces, looted a quiet store front.

They shoved $15,000 worth of drones, remotes, and other electronics into bags before heading back out the way they came in.

This bold, late night theft took place at 1:24 a.m. on Thursday morning. The event was captured by the same security camera that, just less than 48 hours before, captured a thief brazenly pocketing store clerk Yabsera Aklilu’s wallet, along with her passport and Visa, during business hours.

“It really sucks,” Yasbera Aklilu told Vancity Buzz. Aklilu has since been contacted by a number of businesses and organizations who have been had by the same man.

“At first it felt [bad] to have been taken care of, but now that I know he’s done it before I’m just angry. I want justice.”

Drones Plus has 12 stores across the United States and Canada, and this is the seventh robbery in the chain in recent months.
