Drone captures ice hockey played on pristine lake frozen over in Maple Ridge (VIDEO)

Living in the Lower Mainland, we get a lot of climatic advantages over the rest of Canada.

“Is it snowing there yet?? HAHAHA” you ask your friend in Calgary in late August. “Enjoy your winter!” you sarcastically tell your cousin in Toronto.

But there’s one thing they have over our normally super mild climate, and that’s outdoor hockey.

So when I caught wind of this ice hockey game happening on frozen over Whonnock Lake in Maple Ridge, I mostly angry that I missed out!

A frozen over lake to skate on, without any snow to shovel too. That’s the Canadian dream right there.
