Drive-In Movie Night at Summer Night Market Grounds For Charity (RELOCATED)

Dec 19 2017, 8:32 pm

UPDATE: The event has been relocated to Surrey’s Clova Theatre (5732-176 Street) as the City of Richmond denied organizers a permit. Both movies will be shown on November 14. More details here.

Support the Canadian Cancer Society by attending two back-to-back movie nights on the grounds of the International Summer Night Market in Richmond.

Two films will be screened:

  • “Despicable Me” on Friday, November 14
  • “The Avengers” on Saturday, November 15

Guests are encouraged to bring their family and friends early at 7:00 p.m. to enjoy a variety of concession stands and food carts before show time at 8:00 p.m. Tickets will be available by a minimum donation at the venue for $10, and can also be purchased online. All proceeds will go towards benefiting the Canadian Cancer Society. Both cash and credit will be accepted at the concession and ticket booth.

25toLife is a joint project between the Simon Fraser University Beedie School of Business’ Project Management class and the Canadian Cancer Society. The goal of this non-profit is to raise $27,500 in support of cancer research and cancer awareness, while learning hands-on project management skills. Last year’s class raised over $25,000 and this year we are aiming even higher.
