Downtown Vancouver stabbing leaves man seriously injured

A stabbing that happened in the early hours of Thursday morning in the heart of downtown Vancouver has left a man seriously injured.

At 3 a.m., two men were involved in a fight at Seymour and Dunsmuir Streets. Police say it’s believed that one of the men stabbed the other and then the two men got onto a bus stopped in the block nearby.

A 27-year-old man is in custody while the 50-year-old stabbing victim is in hospital.

Another stabbing occurred this morning at around 4 a.m. in Surrey that also left a man seriously injured.
