Two people are suffering from serious injuries after a pair of stabbings at a downtown restaurant yesterday afternoon.

Vancouver Police Constable Steve Addison confirmed to Daily Hive that two men were stabbed at a restaurant on Nelson Street, near Hornby Street, around 4:30 pm on December 18.

Both men were treated in hospital for serious injuries, he said.

Addison described one victim as a Caucasian man, and the other as a South Asian man. Both are in their late 20s.

No suspect has been arrested, but officers believe the incident was gang related.

There is no immediate risk to the public, Addison said.
