
Surrey RCMP is looking for a suspect who reportedly stabbed a three-year-old Belgian Shepherd between 10 to 12 times.
The man trespassed into a gated residential property at 7:30 p.m. on Monday by jumping its fence, CTV Vancouver reported. After scaling the property fence, he encountered Spirit and stabbed the dog repeatedly.
Many of Spirit’s stab wounds are located on his face. He being treated at an animal hospital and is in serious condition, but is expected to survive.
It is believed the suspect used a pocket knife to injure the dog. He is described as a Caucasian male, in his mid-20s, and approximately 5’8″ with dark hair and a medium build.
