A wandering dog stole the show Wednesday morning at the Milano Cortina Olympics.
As a pair of cross-country skiers was finishing the women’s team sprint freestyle qualification at the Tesero Cross-Country Skiing Stadium, a very good boy decided to join the race.
“The crowd clearly enjoying this,” said the broadcaster calling the race.

The dog jumped onto the course and chased the two skiers across the finish line.
While some fans online thought it may be a wolf, it did appear to be wearing a collar. It looked like a husky to us.
“The biggest cheer of the day is not for any of the skiers so far,” the commentator added. “It’s the moment that everyone seems to enjoy. Look at the crowd, they love this.”
How can you not?
Unfortunately, the dog didn’t qualify for the final, which was won by Jonna Sundling and Maja Dahlqvist of Sweden. Switzerland (Nadja KĂ€lin and Nadine FĂ€hndrich) won silver, while Germany (Laura Gimmler and Coletta Rydzek) took bronze.
The Canadian team, composed of 20-year-old Alison Mackie from Edmonton, Alta., and 23-year-old Liliane Gagnon of Shawinigan-Sud, Que., finished in sixth place.
