A new sign at the famous No. 5 Orange strip club, one of the few remaining strip clubs in Vancouver, refers to young women as “fresh meat” and this has upset many in the neighbourhood.

The sign was put up this week to promote an upcoming amateur night. The sign reads “Fresh Meat — Amateurs July 10.”
Some said it made them feel gross, other thought it was going a bit too far.
For others, the thought of equating young women with meat products hit too close to home in a neighbourhood where Robert Pickton frequented to pick up his victims.
