Diwali Fest brings light to this year’s many Diwali events festivities spread out between Vancouver and Surrey. Each year’s festival engages dozens of artists in events across the city, the majority of which are open and free to the general public, by suggested donation, or at very affordable ticketed prices.

Come celebrate the festival of lights with your loved ones at the inaugural Diwali Fest Dinner & Dance Gala, brought to you by BCGEU. This event will feature a delicious buffet dinner followed by performances from an array of traditional Bharatnatyam and Bollywood dance groups, and an evening of dancing to the latest Bollywood and Bhangra beats!

As part of our new partnership with Vancouver Public Library, we’ll be bringing you an exciting lunchtime music and dance performance in the lovely Downtown Atrium of this great public space. This event will feature exciting Indian dance performances, performed with he spontaneity of a flash mob. Come watch us as we catch the downtown crowd completely unawares with this colorful and fast-paced display of the sights and sounds of Diwali.

Diwali Downtown brings together the best of contemporary and classical Indian culture for the entire family. This year’s event will include over fifteen different music and dance performances, an Indian bazaar featuring South Asian crafts and food, and a room-sized rangoli!
We will wrap up the event with our big outdoor finale, sponsored by Patak’s!
