Disney Plus announces long-awaited series revival "The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder"
Disney Plus has announced that the long-anticipated revival of The Proud Family is underway, 18 years after the show’s original premiere.
The streaming service announced on Thursday that the new show, The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder, is currently in production. The project is being led by Academy Award-winning creator and executive producer Bruce W. Smith, and executive producer Ralph Farquhar, who led the original series.
The two will also work with Calvin Brown Jr., the co-executive producer and story editor of the original show.
“In our minds, the show never really went away,” says Mith and Farquhar in a joint statement. “It’s the perfect time to bring back this show, and we can’t wait to take fans, old and new alike, on this journey with us.”
