Dining for a cause: Dinner On The Pier

Dec 20 2017, 12:53 am

On Thursday, August 20, the Lower Lonsdale Pier in North Vancouver will be converted into a waterside dining venue, and will be the setting for a 150-person long table dinner.

A dinner with purpose, this inaugural Dinner On The Pier is the first of its kind in North Vancouver, and will begin with a reception and cocktail hour at the Pipe Shop (a heritage building located in Shipyards Plaza), featuring live music, appetizers, signature cocktails by The Juicery Co.
, raffle prizes, and more. Soon after the party will relocate to the Pier for a unique dining experience guests are unlikely to forget.

Surrounded by North Vancouver’s stunning waterfront, ticket holders are in for a real scenic and culinary treat. The evening’s family-style menu will feature items inspired by B.C.’s oceans and graciously provided by Chef Joel Green of the Pinnacle Hotel, and complimentary beverages courtesy of Haywire Winery and Deep Cove Brewing.

The night doesn’t end there. Following the al fresco meal, the Pipe Shop venue will transform into the Summer Nights Party, with award-winning DJ Physik and Emily Chambars setting the mood for the official Dinner On The Pier after-party.

Organized by Alex Troll (co-founder of The Juicery Co.), Adri Creative, Lower Lonsdale Blog and other local business, the sophisticated “pop up” event will not only celebrate North Vancouver’s growing community but also raise awareness and funds for Growing Chefs – an organization dedicated to educating children, families, and community members about healthy eating and healthy food systems.

Proceeds from Dinner On The Pier will help expand the registered charity’s nutrition and food education programs into North Vancouver elementary schools.
