Dîner en Blanc is returning to Vancouver this summer for its third consecutive year in the city.

Organizers took to their Facebook page earlier today to open registration for the waiting list and announce the date for this year’s event: Thursday, August 21. However, as with every annual event around the world, the location is announced at the last minute.
At each event, thousands of people arrive to Dîner en Blanc’s secret venue for a mass sophisticated “chic picnic” in a public space. Revellers are not only required to dress in white but they also need to bring their own white chairs and tables. Optional wine and dinner come with nominal fees.
The first event was held in 2012 at Jack Poole Plaza and attracted 1,200 diners while last year’s event at Creekside Park next to Science World brought in a much larger crowd of 2,500 diners.
