You can snag major hotel deals during the Dine OutSide culinary event

Patio season in our city has reached new heights this summer with the advent of Dine OutSide Vancouver, presented by Tourism Vancouver.

The evolution of the iconic annual Dine Out Vancouver event, this culinary series will see more than 160 restaurants across the city open their patios to diners from August 21 to September 21. With prix fixe menus at $15, $25, $35, or $45 price points, plus loads of special offers, there’s something for every taste and budget.

Also unique to this year’s event are new Picnic-2-Go offers, which give Vancouverites the option to get takeout from restaurants participating in the event. This means you can still enjoy the iconic Dine Out experience from your favourite park, the beach, or a scenic pier by the water.

And while many of us have had to put a hold on our vacation plans this year, event organizers are making it easier than ever for diners to plan an affordable (and delicious) getaway. Happening now through the end of Dine OutSide, anyone can book a stay at a participating hotel with rates as low as $99 per night.

The list of accommodations where you can take advantage of the promotion is impressive to say the least. Over 30 offers are available from the edge of Stanley Park to the banks of False Creek, meaning there’s a spot close to whichever restaurant you decide to visit.

For example, you can dine on traditional Afghani cuisine at the Afghan Horseman before settling in for the night at the Granville Island Hotel, which is offering rooms from $169. Or, take a gastronomic tour of the West Coast at ARC Restaurant in Coal Harbour and cool off with a dip in the Westin Bayshore’s incredible waterfront pool (rooms start at $199).

Given the current situation here in BC, Dine OutSide encourages diners to re-explore our city’s restaurants — safely. Social distancing practices will be in place at all participating venues. Plus, the City’s expanded patios, “slowed streets,” and expedited approvals have given restaurants the ability to host more guests while ensuring everyone feels safe and comfortable.
