Local chefs are cooking up mouthwatering prix fixe menus, organizers are crafting out-of-the-box culinary events and hotels are designing packages ideal for a food-filled sojourn. Yes, it’s that time again: Tourism Vancouver’s Dine Out Vancouver Festival is just a few months away, and the 12th anniversary of Canada’s largest restaurant festival is packed with brand-new events, discounted hotel stays and enticing menus from the city’s diverse collection of restaurants.

Festival dates: January 17 to February 2, 2014.
Menus: Three-course, prix fixe menus priced at $18, $28 and $38 (BC VQA wine pairings available at additional cost). Restaurant menus will be revealed and reservations open on January 6 (advance reservations for American Express cardholders open on January 3).
Hotels: Participating hotels will offer rooms priced at $78, $108 and $138 per night. Keep an eye out for special Dine Out packages, too.
Anticipated Events: Festival favourites return for an encore (including Street Food City III; Plated & Paired at the Public Market; Secret Supper Soirée; and Act I, Eat 1) while new additions spice up the menu. This year’s Dine Out introduces Six Course Discourse (a rapid-fire presentation featuring six passionate local foodies), a cozy snowshoe fondue on Grouse Mountain and a brunch crawl throughout Vancouver’s distinctive culinary neighbourhoods.
