Build your digital skills with BrainStation’s Vancity Buzz scholarship

Dec 20 2017, 1:27 am

A progressive educational institution that opened its Yaletown doors this summer, BrainStation offers Vancouverites part-time courses in business, design and technology.

Founded in 2012 by a community of thinkers and builders, BrainStation offers courses that are empowering the next generation of creators through teaching courses like Web Development, Digital Marketing and User Experience Design. They also host frequent free workshops and events that bring the Vancouver community together.

We’ve teamed up BrainStation to give one reader the opportunity to attend a fall course, taught by experts – the perfect opportunity to build your digital skills and join a community of creators.

BrainStation first launched in Toronto and has since expanded to Costa Rica, Waterloo and Vancouver, making it the first Canadian company of its kind to be international. When we heard BrainStation was coming to Vancouver, we were particularly intrigued; it’s an exciting time for the Vancouver tech industry, with more and more start-ups launching and bringing fresh ideas and innovations to the community. It’s companies like BrainStation that are helping build this incredible community by providing a real-world, hands-on learning experience for both personal and professional development.

“We want to make technical skills accessible to everyone – no matter what your background, gender, or age, it’s never too late to take the leap to build digital skills,” says Kyle Treleaven, General Manager of BrainStation Vancouver.
