Vancouver has a PWHL franchise, an arena to play in, and players signed for the upcoming season.
But while the new women’s pro hockey team has a colour scheme picked out, it does not yet have an official nickname or jerseys.
Or does it?
The PWHL is included in EA’s new NHL 26 video game, and that includes the league’s two new expansion teams: Vancouver and Seattle.
We might have our first looks at PWHL Vancouver's inaugural uniforms courtesy of NHL 26. The game has them in Home blue and Road white/cream designs with mirrored striping patterns on the arms and waist. A Canadian Tire sponsor patch is also featured on the left shoulder. pic.twitter.com/jjeld6exDB

The game shows off the same logo featured on PWHL Vancouver’s official website, along with the team’s official colours: blue and cream.
But is this a jersey leak or simply a placeholder?
“Those aren’t the official jerseys,” a PWHL Vancouver spokesperson told Daily Hive. “We’ll have more to share on PWHL Vancouver’s identity and uniforms at a later date.”
It’s still unclear if Vancouver will get a nickname before its inaugural season or spend a season known as “PWHL Vancouver,” similar to what the league’s original six teams did during their inaugural seasons.

The 2025-26 PWHL season schedule has yet to be revealed, though the puck first dropped last season on Nov. 30, before the playoffs began in May.
Vancouver will play home games out of the Pacific Coliseum, marking the 57-year-old building’s first regular tenant since the Vancouver Giants left for Langley in 2016. The Vancouver Canucks called the rink on Renfrew Street home from 1970 to 1995.
PWHL Vancouver is expected to be competitive right off the bat, with an impressive number of already-accomplished players on the roster.
Of the top 20 scorers during the 2024-25 PWHL regular season, six of them now play for Vancouver.
There’s likely to be a few Olympians on the squad as well, with six PWHL Vancouver players cracking Hockey Canada’s Olympic orientation camp roster: Sarah Nurse, Hannah Miller, Jennifer Gardiner, Claire Thompson, Chloe Primerano, and Emerance Maschmeyer.
