12 Days of Giveaways: $500 credit for Lyft in Vancouver
While many Metro Vancouverites are awaiting rideshare’s official arrival to the region, Lyft wants to make one person ready for when the operation begins with a chance to win $500 in ride credits.
Lyft is pumped to bring reliable transportation to BC, and improve people’s lives with “the world’s best transportation,” it says, adding that while it wants to bring positive change to people’s way of life, it also shares the same values as them: diversity, community, inclusivity, and sustainability.
It also just announced Covenant House Vancouver as its Round Up & Donate partner, which means riders can choose to opt-in to round up their payment to the nearest dollar and donate the difference to help homeless youth.
In addition to the $5,000 Lyft is donating to the partnership, for every British Columbian who downloads the Lyft app and opts in until the end of the year, it will donate $1 up to another $5,000 — you can download the app, opt-in to ‘Round Up & Donate’ through the “Donate” button in the menu.

Contest entries will be accepted from time and date of publishing until 11:59 pm PT on December 15, 2019. One winner will be chosen at random, contacted through the platform used to enter, and announced in a post showcasing the winners on December 18.
