Known south of the border for being rider focused and pushing riding innovation to the next level, the Dew Tour made its Canadian debut this year, with a creative course designed for top amateur riders to enjoy, but also push their technical and stylistic limits, all while putting on an entertaining show for the crowd.

Located at the bottom of the Sundance Express Chairlift, the DTAS recognized and rewarded top amateur athletes with a cash purse of $20,000 amongst men and women equally, as well as a VIP trip to the Dew Tour for all 1st place finishers.

Speaking to Vancity Buzz, Andrew Singleton, Competition Director, noted that with the talent base and partnerships in place between Canada and the US, the time felt right to bring the competition north of the border.

“The Dew Tour in the States has gotten the recipe right. And when you have any great event property, you are going to continue wanting to grow it  – to spread out. And with the hand-in-hand relationships in place, and recognizing the top talent in Canada that need it – that are wanting it – which can easily be seen by the registration numbers, this was a perfect fit.”
