Health authority closes Delta warehouse with 23 staff coronavirus cases

Fraser Health has ordered a Delta distribution centre to close after 23 staff from the facility tested positive for coronavirus.

Valhalla Distribution/MSJ Distribution at 7848 Hoskins Street is currently dealing with a coronavirus outbreak among staff, Fraser Health said in a news bulletin Saturday.

“The site has been inspected by Fraser Health and we are working with the facility to strengthen their COVID-19 mitigation strategies,” it said.

Fraser Health first knew of the potential outbreak when the first positive test from an employee came back on September 20.

Now, the health authority is screening employees at the facility and tracing the close contacts of infected individuals.

The company’s website has been taken down, but according to older information picked up on Google, it is a packaging plant.
