FEATURED ON THE LISTED GUIDE
Alt-rock band Death Cab for Cutie will be performing in Vancouver this September at the Malkin Bowl, joined by guest Jenn Champion.
Formed in Bellingham, Washington, Death Cab for Cutie is composed of members Ben Gibbard, Nick Harmer, Jason McGerr, Dave Depper, and Zac Rae. The band rose from being a side project to become one of the most exciting groups to emerge from the indie-rock scene of the 2000s.

The band has been nominated for eight Grammy Awards, including Best Rock Album for their 2015 release, Kintsugi. Their ninth studio album Thank You for Today was released in August 2018.
“For a band in its third decade, Death Cab hasn’t lost its gift for pairing Gibbard’s soft ruminations with propulsive arrangements that know just when to sparkle and sway. But even more importantly, Gibbard himself still sings with a sense of purpose, keenly articulating a distinct swirl of nostalgia, loss, and hope for new beginnings,” NPR Music says of the group.
