Vancouver-based app Perk Hero is answering the call with another summer deal on select restaurants around our city.
Recently, the app launched with new capabilities for contactless payment with QR codes and delivery by restaurants. Users can also earn instant cash-back rewards every time they pay or preorder, as well as by completing in-app quests.
Starting today, you can get local eats for as little as $1, $5, and $10 per item when you order via the app. For anyone who’s tired of whipping up the same old meals at home, it’s an affordable way to treat yourself and shake up your routine.
Craving something light and refreshing on these hot summer days? You can pick up a Brown Sugar Pearl Milk Tea from Jenjudan (Yaletown) or a Tropical Sunshine Smoothie from Trish Juice for just $1. Looking for something a little sweeter? Splurge on the Three Mixed Icy Shaved Ice from Icy Bar (Kingsway) instead (also available for $1).
Local breakfast and brunch joint Slickity Jim’s (Main Street) is rewarding Perk Hero app users with $5 MC Decimation of Cultural Diversity breakfast sandwiches. This tasty eat is made with grilled ham, scrambled eggs, and cheddar cheese, all served on a perfectly soft brioche bun alongside salad and potatoes.
Slurp down something a little more savoury with a $5 Signature Rainbow Xiao Long Bao from Jingle Bao, then follow it up with three Churros with Ice Cream and Cajeta from Maizal — the perfectly crunchy-yet-sweet treat to enjoy on an August afternoon — also for $5.
For the full meal deal, order the Chicken & Waffle Breakfast from Ricky’s Cafe. It’s well worth the $10, with three plump and juicy hand-battered chicken tenders, served on top of a crispy waffle and topped with maple bacon strips and syrup.
You can never go wrong with a fresh bowl of poké, and Pacific Poke (West Broadway) is offering The Main Bowl starring sockeye salmon, spicy ahi, crab and shrimp, ginger jicama, and more for $10 via the Perk Hero app.
