Vancouver Pride Weekend kicks off with a massive bash at the annual Davie Street Block Party this Friday.
Tens of thousands are expected to attend the three city block long party in Downtown Vancouver’s West End neighbourhood, in the Davie Village on Davie Street from Burrard to Jervis streets.

It’s a great way to start off this year’s Pride Weekend; a number of Djs will have you dancing all night, in addition to carnival games, food and booths with giveaways.
This year’s beer garden has been significantly expanded to occupy the entire block party site, a change made possible by the provincial government’s recent liquor law reforms. The underage event has been merged with the main event, however, the outdoor bar service will only be available to 19+ attendees.
The block party kicks off at 6 p.m. and ends at midnight. Admission into the block party site is $5.
