David Cross to play Vancouver for JFL NorthWest Comedy Fest

Dec 20 2017, 3:28 am

The Just For Laughs NorthWest Comedy Fest has added comedian David Cross to their star-studded lineup of performers.

Fans may recognize Cross as the “Riff Off” host in Pitch Perfect 2, and most-commonly as Tobias Funke in TV’s Arrested Development, but his stand-up comedy has earned him the most recognition. Cross has been named one of the top 100 comedians of all time by Comedy Central and his comedy special “David Cross: The Pride is Back” was named one of the best 25 stand-up comedy specials and concert films of all time by Rolling Stones magazine in 2015.

Cross’ other film credits include Kill Your Darlings, It’s a Disaster, Abel, Year One, Christopher Guest’s Waiting for Guffman, Men in Black and Men in Black II, Ghost World, Michel Gondry’s Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, and I’m Not There.

He will be bringing his “Making America Great Again!” – yes, riffing on Donald Trump – tour to Vancouver in February as part of the month-long JFL NorthWest Comedy Fest taking over the city. Other performers stopping by include host of The Daily Show, Trevor Noah, Wanda Sykes, Lewis Black, Janeane Garofalo, Miranda Sings, and more.

Tickets to see David Cross at the Vogue Theatre go on sale on Friday, January 8 at 10 a.m.
