Music legend David Bowie died January 10 following an 18 month fight with cancer. He was 69.
Just last week Bowie released Blackstar, his 25th studio album and first album release since 2013.
Bowie first rose to fame with his hit song “Space Oddity,” in 1969, and gained further fame for his alter egos The Thin White Duke and Ziggy Stardust. He played sold out shows around the world, performing in Vancouver many times – most recently during the A Reality tour in 2004 – and was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1996.
He died peacefully in his home in London surrounded by his family.
