Dan Riccio reveals where he's going after leaving Sportsnet 650 in Vancouver

A trio of sports media veterans are back in the business this week, though the medium is a bit different than their usual platform.
On Wednesday morning, The Nation Network announced a new daily sports show based out of Toronto, hosted by Cabbie Richards, Lindsay Dunn, and Dan Riccio, the latter of the three who recently announced their departures from their previous gigs.
The show, titled Off The Roster, will be hosted on The Nation Network’s YouTube channel and feature interviews with voices around the Canadian sports and entertainment scenes.

Richards had served multiple roles in the sports media scene, most recently working for Rogers from 2021 to 2024. He was perhaps best known for his “Cabbie On The Street” show on the now-defunct The Score Television Network from 2005-2010, later working on a similar show called “Cabbie Presents” during a stint from 2011-2019 at TSN.
Riccio announced his departure from Sportsnet 650 after eight years last week, where he was the co-host of the popular Canucks Central program with Satiar Shah.
“It’s one of the toughest decisions of my life,” Riccio said. “It’s tough to leave an incredible team here.”
Riccio cited a desire to move closer to family as a reason for the cross-country move back to Toronto.
Dunn, who had spent the last eight years at Toronto’s CityNews with frequent appearances on Sportsnet and other Rogers properties, called her last role a “dream job.”
Some of her most prominent work came on the Toronto Blue Jays and Raptors beats, following the teams on their runs to the World Series this past year and the NBA title in 2019.
She also served as one of the country’s most prominent entertainment reporters and an occasional host on Breakfast Television, having interviewed everyone from Ringo Starr to Lewis Capaldi to Scarlett Johnanssen to Christopher Walken.
Dunn joined The Nation Network in a part-time role earlier this year, launching the 6ix Inning Stretch podcast with former Blue Jays All-Star Whit Merrifield.
Off The Roster launches on Dec. 1.
