The Dalai Lama is returning to Vancouver

Dec 19 2017, 8:07 pm

On October 21, the Dalai Lama will be returning to Vancouver for a fourth visit, with this time being the first opportunity to attend a presentation by the man himself.

During his previous visits to Vancouver, the Dalai Lama challenged British Columbians to advance “heart-mind” learning in children and youth.

Since then, the Dalai Lama Centre has been a prominent voice in promoting “education of the heart” which results in more peaceful, secure, engaged, and compassionate children, with British Columbia becoming a global leader in incorporating the lessons into school curriculum.

The upcoming visit will be a celebration of the province’s achievements as well as a call to all of us to “be the village” that builds a future of resilient and flourishing children.

The event will also feature speakers Janet Austin of YWCA, author Sir Ken Robinson, Dr. Kimberly Schonert-Reichl, Peter Senge of MIT and Tamara Vrooman, with Maria LeRose moderating.
