Cypress Mountain cancels discounted group season passes

Cypress Mountain has cancelled its discounted group season pass program for the 2021/2022 season.

A spokesperson told Daily Hive that the ski resort is encouraging patrons to buy season passes now to get the cheapest price.

“The rates in spring are always lower than the group rate. So everyone that buys now will save money,” director of sales and marketing Joffrey J. Koeman said. “So all we are saying is to buy now instead of waiting to the fall.”

In years past, the mountain has allowed groups of 20 or more to buy passes in bulk for a discounted rate in the fall. As an incentive, group leaders who organize the effort can ski or snowboard for free.

Last season, Cypress offered adult group silver passes for $329 plus tax and group adult gold passes for $719, according to the mountain’s website.

This year, Cypress’ adult silver passes are currently retailing for $449 and unrestricted gold passes cost $899.
