Cyclist with stab wounds collapses in Surrey

Police in Surrey have arrested one man in connection to a stabbing incident yesterday.

At approximately 9:40 pm, an officer with the Surrey RCMP witnessed a male on a bicycle in the area of 148th and Ashby Place collapse on the road, and upon approaching the male the officer saw that he was suffering from two stab wounds.

The male was rushed to hospital in serious but stable condition. It was later determined that he had come from a residence located in the 14700 block of 84 Avenue where an argument had occurred between two persons known to each other. Officer arrested a 43-year-old resident as a result.

The investigation is ongoing and few details are available at this time.
