Traffic to be affected for hours after cyclist struck by car in downtown Vancouver

Police officers are on scene in downtown Vancouver, where a cyclist has been struck by a driver.
The Vancouver Police Department (VPD) says that the incident took place around the area of Pender Street and Granville Street.
There’s been no word on the current condition of the cyclist, nor if whether speed or distracted driving were factors.
Commuters are asked to find an alternate route as traffic in the area is expected to be affected for several hours.
