Vancouver Police are looking for witnesses after a cyclist was knocked off his bike in a hit-and-run on Granville Bridge on Friday.

According to Staff Sgt. Randy Fincham, the cyclist was travelling northbound on the roadway around noon when a silver SUV struck him.

“The cyclist was knocked from his bicycle and suffered minor injuries, as he was not wearing a helmet at the time,” said Fincham.

“The driver failed to remain at the scene of the accident and has not yet been located.”

The SUV is believed to have fresh damage to the right rear side, said Fincham.

Anyone who may have seen what led up to the collision is asked to contact the VPD at their non-emergency number on 604-717-3321.
