Cyclist dead after being found unconscious on Vancouver seawall

A cyclist has died after he was found unconscious on the Vancouver seawall early last night.

At about 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday evening, paramedics and police responded to a call on the seawall at the foot of Carrall Street. Upon arrival, they found a 46-year-old cyclist unconscious on the ground.

The Vancouver resident was rushed to hospital in grave condition, but was pronounced dead at about 4 a.m. this morning.

Police say an investigation is ongoing and they will have more information as details emerge.
