Video shows crow riding the SkyTrain

Crows are some of the smartest animals in the world. So smart, apparently, they can even figure out how the Compass Card works.

A video posted to YouTube appears to show a crow riding the SkyTrain, sitting happily on the back of a seat and eyeing its fellow passengers.

The crow appears to have a red tag around its right leg, leading many to believe the crow may be domesticated. Indeed, a crow wearing a similar tag gained some notoriety over the summer when a video surfaced online showing it attempting to land on a cyclist.

The crow appearing in the second video is known to Vancouverites as Canuck, and was rehabilitated by Shawn Bergman after the bird fell from its nest as a baby. Since then, Canuck has become accustomed to human contact, and is a frequently sighted around Bergman’s residence near Cassiar Street and Hastings Street.
