Police investigating after man and woman shot and killed in Langley

A man and woman are dead after an early-morning shooting in Langley on Friday.

Just after 5:30 am, Langley RCMP responded to reports of shots fired at 232 street and 64th Avenue .

When they arrived, police found a man and a woman both suffering from gunshot wounds.

“Despite all attempts to revive the individuals they succumbed to their injuries,” said Langley RCMP Cpl. Holly Largy in a statement.

“Based on the investigative theory in this initial phase it is believed to be targeted,” she added.

The area surrounding the scene will be cordoned off for a significant amount of time. The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has been called as well and will be working in partnership with Langley RCMP.
