An elderly man remains in hospital after he and two teenagers were struck by a vehicle on Granville Island on Sunday, just after 5 pm.

VPD Const. Jason Doucette told Daily Hive it appears that “the pedestrians were crossing the street in a crosswalk on a green light when a man driving a blue Mazda went through a red light and struck them.”

The teenagers were taken to hospital and suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the blue Mazda is being investigated for impaired driving in connection with the incident.
