Canucks vs. Coyotes - Game Preview
Ready to shake off Sunday’s embarrassing 8-3 loss against the Grand Rapids Griffins Detroit Red Wings, the Canucks line up on home ice against the Phoenix Coyotes on Tuesday.
With the game at home, Vancouver should expect to come out hard out of the gate to get back to their regular season form. Luckily, the Canucks don’t have much to fear having divisional foes chasing them, as the Minnesota Wild sit eight spots and six points behind the third place Vancouver squad in the west.
The Coyotes, on the other hand, are close to bottom feeders and need to fight for points. Coming off of a road upset against the Flames, they hope to climb out of their 9th spot in the west, and 4th in their division. Suffering from having to compete against talented Pacific rivals, Phoenix has to keep playing the way they did against Calgary. If not, the once Western Conference Finalists may not get to see another exciting postseason in what many call their last season as an Arizona-based franchise (but we’ve all heard that one before).

- David Booth is reported to be back in the lineup, meaning Aaron Volpatti will sit out
- Henrik Sedin has 11pts in the last 8 games
- Schneider will get the start against Phoenix after Luongo’s dismal 8 GA performance, but at least his tweeting alter-ego was able to poke some fun his own way
