Here are all the authorized hotels for quarantining passengers in Canada

The Government of Canada has approved almost 50 authorized hotels across the country for international arrivals to quarantine in.

In late February, new measures came into effect for travellers landing in Canada from international destinations.

In addition to providing proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken up to 72 hours before their scheduled departure time, travellers have to take a second COVID-19 test upon arriving in Canada and a third at the end of their mandatory 14-day quarantine.

While waiting for their arrival test results, travellers must quarantine in a government-authorized hotel.

Initially, around a dozen hotels across Canada were confirmed as government-authorized; however, the list has expanded to 47 hotels.

The following hotels have been approved for quarantining travellers across the country:

Vancouver

Calgary

Toronto

Montreal

These hotels are for people who don’t have symptoms, have a negative pre-departure COVID-19 test result, and aren’t close contacts of people who have or may have COVID-19.

The cost of the hotel stopover will vary by location. The price will include costs associated with the food, room, security, transportation, and infection prevention and control measures.

All passengers will be required to provide their name, date of birth, arrival city and date, payment information, special requests or accessibility concerns, and pet information.

Travellers will receive an email confirmation of their accommodation within four hours of booking.
