
If you’re a regular Costco Canada customer, you could get a full product refund following a recent nationwide recall.
On Monday, Costco Canada published a notice from Zwilling JA Henckels Canada Ltd., announcing that it’s recalling a particular model of kettles. According to the manufacturer, the handle of water kettles “may loosen or break off entirely during use.”
“In isolated cases, the product defect may cause hot water to spill from the kettle, creating a risk of scalding injuries to the user or bystanders in the immediate area, including small children,” reads the notice.

Zwilling JA Henckels Canada Ltd. reports that as of May 13, it has received 21 reports of incidents in Canada, including one report of potential injury. There have been 96 reports of incidents in the U.S. and one report of potential injury.
The affected kettles were sold by Costco Canada as part of two types of small appliance bundles that were sold on Costco.ca between October 2022 and January 2026. The recalled product is the Enfinigy Kettle Pro 1.5 L (model number 1016121), which was sold in a bundle with a toaster and scale, and another bundle with mugs and a towel.

Make sure to check your kettle to see if it’s part of it’s part of the recall. If so, immediately stop using it and return it to a Costco warehouse to receive a full refund.

Health Canada first announced the recall on May 14, stating that 43,963 units of the affected products were sold in Canada. The health department is urging Canadians to report any health or safety incidents involving the product.
