33 awesome cosplays from Fan Expo Vancouver 2014 (PHOTOS)
A constant stream of nerds and geeks flowed into the Vancouver Convention Centre throughout the Easter long weekend for the third annual Fan Expo Vancouver.
An estimated 25,000 people attended the three day event celebrating comics, sci-fi, horror, anime, and gaming goodness.
Besides the aisles of comic books, posters, t-shirts and rare memorabilia, a number of actors came out to greet their fans, including Stephen Amell (Arrow), Karl Urban (Star Trek, Almost Human), Giancarlo Esposito (Breaking Bad, Revolution), Robert England (A Nightmare On Elm Street, Iron Man 3), Morena Baccarin (Firefly, Stargate, V, Homeland), Ray Park (GI Joe Films, Star Wars Episode I), Billy Boyd (Lord of the Rings trilogy), and Tom Felton (Harry Potter series).
One of the biggest attractions were the fans. Cosplay is always a massive part of the experience at the pop culture expo, with costumes ranging from store bought to homemade works that require weeks and sometimes thousands of dollars to create elaborate designs.
Those who partake in cosplay dress up as their favourite characters from comics, anime, movies, television and video games.
