17 photos of the best cosplays at Day 1 of Anime Revolution

Demon Hunters, Pokémon Trainers and even the occasional Sailor Scout descended on Downtown Vancouver today as Anime Revolution got underway at the Convention Centre.

Now in its fifth year, the three-day event will attract more than 14,000 visitors who will enjoy panels, autograph sessions, and guest appearances from international voiceover stars.

A big draw of the event is cosplay, with around 70% of the attendees dressing up as their favourite characters. Here are some of the best cosplay photos from day one of the event.
