Cory Monteith’s body was cremated last Tuesday shortly after his body was released from the coroners office. His family has announced that his ashes will be scattered in Vancouver, Victoria and Los Angeles.
These three cities were the places Monteith loved most and where he spent most of his life. Although born in Calgary, Monteith only spent his first two years in the Albertan city before moving to Victoria, where he grew up. In his late-teens he moved to Vancouver where he started his acting career.
Monteith was known to spend his time in Vancouver when not busy filming Glee in Los Angeles. He was also known for his local philanthropy for homeless youth and the arts.
