BC reports zero coronavirus-related deaths in the last three days

BC health officials announced on Monday afternoon that there have been 29 new test-positive cases of COVID-19 since Friday.

However, there has not been a single coronavirus-related death in the province in that same time period.

BC’s Provincial Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry shared the update during an afternoon briefing on Monday.

The total number of recorded cases in the province now sits at 2,659.

Broken down by health region, Henry said there are 907 known cases in Vancouver Coastal Health, 1,363 in Fraser Health, 130 on Vancouver Island, 195 in Interior Health, and 64 in Northern Health.

The number of active cases currently totals 183, with 16 of those cases in hospitals, and four of those in ICU.

A total of 2,309 cases are now considered fully recovered.
