Robbery suspects captured after 9 store holdups: Coquitlam RCMP

Dec 20 2017, 4:54 am

Two robbery suspects were nabbed by the Coquitlam and Maple Ridge RCMP after they allegedly held up nine stores between February 27 and March 9.

The robberies all had similar themes: a suspect would enter a business and allegedly threaten the clerk with a knife to get money, cigarettes, and lottery tickets.

Both the Coquitlam and Maple Ridge RCMP teamed up to find the suspects, since the robberies took place in both cities. Christopher Houghton, 33, was arrested in Coquitlam without incident and is facing 9 counts of robbery. He’s in custody until his next court appearance.

The co-accused, Surrey resident Claira Dusange, faces two counts of robbery.

The duo are scheduled to appear in court on Thursday.
