Seawall Challenge offering huge prizes to schools and families

Jul 21 2016, 1:45 am

Families and friends will get the chance to win thousands of dollars in Vancouver this Saturday in Concord Pacific’s fourth annual Seawall Challenge.

The challenge features two different competitions – a Family Challenge and a Friends Challenge – full of brainteasers, puzzles, obstacle courses and art projects.

Winning teams will receive $1,500 for themselves and $5,000 for a school of their choice, to benefit projects such as after school programs or new playgrounds or gym equipment.

Participants must be six years of age or older, in teams of four. Family Challenge teams must include at least two children under 12 years old.

While the obstacles in the Family Challenge are more child-friendly with an adjusted level of difficulty, Friends teams will face a series of physical, creative, and mental challenges.

Concord Pacific have teamed up with the Honda Celebration of Light competition to hold the Seawall Challenge benefitting schools in BC’s Lower Mainland.

The Challenge takes place along False Creek’s seawall and parks between noon and 5 pm this Saturday, ending at the Celebration of Light’s Family Zone at First Beach.

Registration is still open online, at $40 per team.
