Compass Card problems, Canada Line shutdown plague Monday commuters

Dec 20 2017, 3:27 am

Major Canada Line delays caused some huge crowds to form at the platforms from Templeton to Bridgeport stations. Ice build-up had caused a train to stall on the track, requiring the use of shuttle buses to transport passengers.

Adding to that were multiple people reporting problems with their Compass Cards on the first day of its official rollout, making for a bad first Monday of 2016.

It was the perfect transit storm.

Unsurprisingly, people were pretty unhappy about the whole scenario and took to Twitter to vent.

No word yet on the cause of the Compass Card problems, but service has been back up on the Canada Line since 8:15 a.m. this morning.
