Looks like old man winter will be packing a serious punch come December as the La Nina phenomenon is set to bring one of the coldest winters ever seen in the lower mainland (at least in the last 20 years). So if you think Vancouverites can’t drive in regular weather, just wait till the first snowfall of the year.
If Gregor Robertson is still the mayor come the first serious snowfall this year, hopefully he doesn’t plan another vacation and let the snow pile up on the streets like in the first year of his term.
This may be unwelcome news to many, especially born and raised Vancouverites. However, remember this may also mean a lot of snow on the mountains. At the end of the day it’s a weather prediction, so you just never know.
